6th June 2023, Black and White Women of Achievement, Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney
The 37th annual Women of Achievement celebration was recently held at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, sponsored by The Susan & Isaac Wakil Foundation, with the Honourable Bronwyn Bishop AO serving as the Guest of Honour. The event was attended by nearly 400 guests who were treated to an afternoon of inspiring speakers, including Kim Mc Kay AO, Gale Edwards AM, and the Hon Bronwyn Bishop AO.
Presenters Natarsha Belling and Richard Lyle kept the event lively, while Mr Mark Daley from Bradfield Badgerfox called the auctions. The event kicked off with a wonderful performance by Claro Tungal, a client of Vision Australia. Bowerhaus, a long-time supporter of the committee, provided table gifts to all the guests.
Kim Mc Kay AO, the Director and CEO of the Australian Museum, made history as the first woman to hold this role in the Museum. Gale Edwards AM was the first Australian woman to direct on the main stage at the Royal Shakespeare Company in the UK and to open a musical on both London’s West End and New York Broadway. She has directed over 30 productions in Australia.
The Women of Achievement celebration is a fantastic event that recognizes the accomplishments of women in various fields. It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women who have made a significant impact in their respective fields. The event was a huge success, and we look forward to the next Women of Achievement celebration in 2024!
